SCC Baseball Vs Skagit Valley College Now On SCC Athletic YouTube Site

SCC Softball Seeded 12th At NWAACC Softball Championship The Lady Dolphin Softball Team is seeded 12th of 16 teams at the NWAACC Softball Championship that starts on Friday at Delta Park in Portland, OR.
SCC will face Clackamas Community College of Oregon in the opening round at 11:30 AM on Friday.
Wenatchee Valley is the top seed in the tournament and NWAACC Northern Region rival Bellevue College is the #2 Seed.
Clackamas finished 2nd in the Southern Region with a 30-10 record. SCC is 19-18-2 on the season and finished 4th in the Northern Region.

SCC Baseball Drops Final Two Games of Year The Dolphin Baseball Team dropped their last two games of the season to Skagit Valley College on Sunday at Meridian Park.
In Game 1, SCC was only one out from a victory, as they led 4-3 in the
In Game 2, SCC's bats were silent and SVC went on to a 3-0 win as the Dolphins could only muster 5 hits in the 9 inning game.
The Dolphins ended the year 6-31 overall and 5-19 in the region.

SCC Men's Tennis Wins 2 Titles At NWAACC Championship, Bachmann Coach of the Year
SCC Men's Tennis Wins NWAACC Titles at #1 Doubles, #2 Singles and Coach Ray Bachmann is Coach of the Year.
The SCC Men's Tennis Team finished 3rd at the NWAACC Tournament, as Yassar Khan and Alex Casper won the NWAACC Doubles Championship and Alex Casper won the #2 Singles Title. Favored Yassar Khan was upset in the #1 Singles Final and finished 2nd in the NWAACC.
SCC Men's Coach, Ray Bachmann was named the NWAACC's Men's Tennis Coach of the Year.
SCC Mandy Lam Finishes Third At NWAACC Women's Tennis Tournament Sophomore Mandy Lam finished 3rd in #1 Singles as the Lady Dolphins
Lam lost her first match at the tournament but came back to win two straight to finish third.
The other Lady Dolphins lost all of their matches at the tournament, as SCC brought a team full of freshmen and beginning players except for Lam.

SCC Baseball Splits With Skagit Valley
SCC Baseball got its second road region win of the season, as they defeated Skagit Valley College 10-2 on Saturday in Mt. Vernon, WA.
In Game 1, SCC outhit Skagit Valley 10 to 5 but managed to drop the game 4-3 as hard luck pitcher Ryan Garrett ran his record to 1-9 for the year, despite only giving up 2 earned runs on 5 hits. Jordan Padilla, Luis Delmar and Christian Estabillo all had 2 hits in the game.
In Game 2, SCC scored 1 run in the 1st and 2 runs in the 2nd, but broke open a 3-2 game in the 7th and 8th innings with 7 runs. Each team had 8 hits, but SVC committed 7 errors in the game and SCC took advantage of it. Layton Bush picked up his 2 win of the season by allowing only 2 runs (1 earned) in 6.2 innings of work and getting shut-out relief help from Vernon Ryan and Ethan Berchet-Hall over the final 2 innings.
Matt Cottingham and Daniel Cavanaugh had 2 hits each for SCC.
SCC is now 6-29 overall and 5-17 in the NWAACC Northern Region. SVC falls to 13-28 and 7-15.
SCC plays Skagit Valley today at 1:00 PM at Meridian Park in the final games of the season.

The Shoreline Community College Women's Softball Team beat Skagit Valley College on Friday, 8-0, 6-0 to clinch 4th place in the NWAACC Northern Region and qualify for the NWAACC Softball Softball Championship for the 5th consecutive year.
In the Skagit Valley games, Alia Kelly ran her pitching record to 8-6 for the season with a 4 hit shutout of the Cardinals and she hit her 8th homerun of the season. Jarryn Vannatta had two hits and Chelsea Lindroth doubled for SCC.
In Game 2, Kelsie Mason shut out SVC on 3 hits and ran her record to 5-2 for the year. Alia Kelly hit a double and Sophie Overlock-Pauley had two hits for the SCC. Skagit Valley had 5 errors to help SCC's cause.
SCC finished the season 19-18-2 overall and 14-10 in the region. This is the first time in 4 seasons SCC has not won or finished second in the region. SCC will travel to Portland, OR on Thursday to compete in the NWAACC Softball Championship starting Friday.
Match-ups will be announced later in the week, as the softball seeding for the tournament will now be determined by a power ranking for the first time and not how teams finished in the actual region.

top of 7th with SVC down to their last at bat, but the Cardinals got a big hit to tie the game and won the game in the 8th inning with another run. Shoreline did come back from a 0-3 deficient with a 4 run 4th inning. The loss broke the 3 game winning streak for Jason Shaw, who had pitched great baseball in the previous three games, allowing only 1 run in 21 innings, but he was removed with 2 outs in the 7th inning. Shaw did not get the loss in the game and still only allowed 2 earned runs in this game.
