May 11th - SCC Sophomore Student Performance Showcase!  7:30 p.m. Room 818. Free Admission.

Come hear second-year music students perform a variety of instruments and styles - classical piano, guitar, folk violin duo. A wonderful concert, one hour in length.

May 18, 19, 24, 25 & 26 - Working - The Musical. 7:30 p.m. Shoreline Campus Theater
From Stephen Schwartz. Based on the Book by Studs Terkel - the creator of the megahits WICKED and GODSPELL - Shoreline Community College presents WORKING, the American musical based on the book by Pulitzer Prize winning author, Studs Terkel. WORKING tells the true stories of daily life for working men and women, echoing Walt Whitman's ode to the American worker: "I Hear America Singing." Their struggles, dreams, failures and triumphs are captured in a diverse, contemporary musical score that includes music from James Taylor, Micki Grant, Mary Rodgers and Craig Carnelia. Nominated for six Tony awards. (Contains mature language and situations. Recommended for audiences 14 and up.)

May 27th - SCC Piano Series - Concert #4. 3:00 - Shoreline Campus Theater

"Brilliant Harmonies!" with Helena Azevedo

Faculty member Helena Azevedo on piano with special guest Kevin Hekmatpanah on cello will dazzle listeners with the rich harmonies of Brahms and driving South American rhythms of Ginastera and Piazolla. Please join us for this scholarship fundraiser - all proceeds benefit the Shoreline CC Piano Scholarship Fund.

 

General admission - $15;

Seniors/SCC Staff/Students - $10;
