Academic advising is a learning process supported by a relationship of mutual respect and collaboration between advisor and advisee.

Every student is assigned an advisor to help chart a path toward obtaining their academic goals in an efficient and effective manner.

Every faculty member is also an advisor, and advice can be sought from a faculty member even if they are not your advisor.

Advisors work with students to assist them with reaching their academic goals and/or transferring to a college/university.  For more information regarding Transfer, Student Transfer Rights and Responsibilities and Advisor/Advisee responsibilities click the following links:  Student Transfer Rights and Responsibilities http://www.sbctc.ctc.edu/college/s_resources.aspx.   and Advisor/Advisee Responsibilities

Advising is available both in-person and online. Online Advising is handled via email. In-person advising is available by appointment. To schedule an in-person appointment, call: (206) 546-4559.

If you do not know your advisor, are not assigned an advisor, or want to change your advisor, please visit Advisor Lookup, Advising and Counseling or Enrollment Services.

A Student may change their assigned advisor at any time for any reason.
