Shoreline Community College has a nationally recognized veterans' program.  We are here to support you and help make your experience here a success.

 

Some of the services we offer include:

  • Use of the Veteran's Resource Center facility
  • Help in determining Veteran's Discount eligibility
  • Connection with the campus Veteran's Club
  • Help accessing GI Bill benefits
  • Access to onsite Vet Corps representative for assistance navigating the Shoreline system as well as outside resources
 

VA BENEFIT ALERT:

Starting August 1, 2011 VA benefits are changing.  For a list of VA changes please go to www.gibill.va.gov.  Break pay will no longer be payable.  Veteran students are encouraged to apply for financial aid.  There may be some delays in Summer and Fall BAH payments.

 

 

VA Benefit Chart

Your benefits are based on the amount of credits you are taking at the College:

VA Credits for Summer

Full time = 8 credits

3/4 time = 7 credits

1/2 time = 5-6 credits

    *less than 5 credits is tuition only

VA Credits for Fall, Winter, Spring

Full time = 12 credits

3/4 time = 9-11 credits

1/2 time = 6-8 credits

    *less than 6 credits is tuition only
